ST. LOUIS CATHEDRAL
New Orleans

The present church, completed in 1794, is the third structure erected on the same site in honor of the patron saint of Bourbon, France. It witnessed the exchange of flags, December 1, 1803, when the flag of Spain was replaced by the tricolor of Naploleon's France, which only 20 days later was succeeded by the 15 stars and stripes of the USA.

The Corn Fence
The Corn Fence,
915 Royal St., New Orleans, La.

This fence which is located in the Old French Quarter at 915 Royal Street was made before the Civil War days. It is about fifty feet in length. It is very doubtful that a duplicate of this design was ever made.
