Greetings from Baltimore, Maryland
GREETINGS FROM
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND

Ideally located on the mid-Atlantic coast, Baltimore is still a major American seaport, although the inner harbor area is now thriving with business and recreational activities. Baltimore's blooming renaissance is the success story of a city revitalized.

Francis Scott Key Monument, Eutaw Place, Baltimore MD
FRANCIS SCOTT KEY MONUMENT. EUTAW PLACE AND LANVALE ST., BALTIMORE MD.
"The Star Spangled Banner," the National Anthem of the United States, was written by Francis Scott Key, poet and patriot of Maryland, while detained by the British aboard a ship off Fort McHenry. His inspiration came when in the dawn's early light he saw the nation's flag still waving triumphantly over the fort. The Key Monument in Baltimore is one of the several handsome memorials erected to Key. The original flag is now in the National Museum in Washington.
